A brace of smart fortwos have proved to be model tenants for a local lettings agency.

Reading-based Euro-Link Residential Letting and Management bought its smart fortwo passion coupes last year to transport its consultants to viewings in and around the often heavily-congested town.

Fully 'wrapped' in the company's distinctive livery, the smarts have been ideal for the needs of the family-run business as Surjit Jutla, Director and founder of Euro-Link, explains: 'We did consider other cars but choosing the smarts was definitely the right decision as they are perfect for our requirements, being easy to manoeuvre on some of Reading's narrow roads and friendly on the environment.'

'They're a great advertisement for the business too, and parked together outwards from the kerb in just one parking space they always grab people's attention,' said Mr Jutla, who established Euro-Link 14 years ago.

After successfully purchasing a number of cars, including flagship S-Class, from smart of Reading's Mercedes-Benz sister operation, Mr Jutla returned to Richfield Avenue to but Euro-link's fortwos. Despite being used to much more expensive machinery, Mr Jutla was impressed with his initial test drive and continues to be delighted with the smart driving experience.

'They average 800 miles a month and have been completely reliable as well as enjoyable to drive,' said Mr Jutla. 'Because of this and the service we received, we would definitely like more smarts in the future.'
